Description of the town and region

Benijofar is located inland on the southern Costa Blanca. It is a small town popular with foreigners, located close to the towns of Formentera del Segura, Ciudad Quesada, Algorfa, Rojales, Almoradi, San Fulgencio and Heredera. The town is a popular place to stay while on vacation, as it is close to coastal resorts such as Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. There is a moderate, typically Mediterranean wonderful climate. Agriculture still plays a big role here. We can find wonderful orchards where citrus and olive trees dominate. The nearest airports less than an hour’s drive away are Alicante to the north and Murcia to the south. There are numerous golf courses such as La Finca Golf Course in Algorfa and La Marquesa Golf and Country Club in Ciudad Quesada. The town of Benijofar is small. Less than 4,000 residents live here, many of those who remain run successful businesses. You can find restaurants where you can eat really well. For example, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Auberge, Catorce, Restaurante Chino and El Bodegon Granaino. The closest and best beaches are Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja, a 15-minute drive away, which can also be easily reached by city bus.
